  3. Solving Equations and Inequalities
  4. Working with Functions
  5. Visualizing Functions
  6. Calculus with Mathematica
  7. Interactive Manipulation


Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to

  1. explain the basics of Mathematica and the Wolfram Language.
  2. perform computations with numerical and symbolic expressions.
  3. manipulate and generate lists to write efficient code
  4. use rules to simplify, reduce, and evaluate symbolic expressions
  5. extend the Wolfram Language by defining their own symbols and functions
  6. solve equations and inequalities numerically and symbolically
  7. create visualizations of curves defined by functions or equations (in R2 and R3)
  8. create visualizations of surfaces defined by functions or equations (in R2 and R3)
  9. create interactive visualizations using the Manipulate command
