### Objectives

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to

- explain the basics of
*Mathematica*and the*Wolfram Language*. - perform computations with numerical and symbolic expressions.
- manipulate and generate lists to write efficient code
- use rules to simplify, reduce, and evaluate symbolic expressions
- extend the
*Wolfram Language*by defining their own symbols and functions - solve equations and inequalities numerically and symbolically
- create visualizations of curves defined by functions or equations (in R2 and R3)
- create visualizations of surfaces defined by functions or equations (in R2 and R3)
- create interactive visualizations using the
`Manipulate`

command
